Does anyone on here use a mini laptop for clogging lessons?

I'm considering on purchasing one and I just want to see what the pros and cons are on having a mini laptop as compared to getting a regular laptop.

I use my laptop all the time for class and performances. I don't have a "mini" and have noticed some of the mini's don't have the cd/dvd drive but probably you could plug in an external for ripping or burning. I have absolutely all of my music on my laptop and use WinCD in class (you can adjust speed) or you can use ClogAmp. You would need some good external speakers to plug in to your laptop. I use speakers that have volume and bass control on them so I can tone down the bass as I don't like a lot of bass for clogging. I use a guitar amplifier for the microphone - picked it up at the pawn shop. Good luck.

The last one I was looking at had a very small (4 GB) hard drive - I have over 20 GB of music so unless you take along a portable external hard drive and external cd player I don't think the mini is worth it. You can store more songs on an iPod.

I'd go for the full size with a slot cd/dvd player if you have the choice.
