Katie Taylor has been dancing from a young age, and at the age of 10 she took her first clogging class and fell in love! She was hooked for life and has been clogging ever since. She was on performance and competition teams throughout her school years, and at the age of 13 started teaching young children. She is a National All-Around Solo 1st place winner, and has received multiple National Grand Champion team awards. She attended BYU-I, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a Minor in Dance/Business. Throughout college, she was a teaching assistant, and then an instructor, for clogging classes on campus. She was a member of the BYU-Idaho Collegiate World Dance Team for 8 semesters, 2 of which she was the student director. She has been fortunate enough to continue teaching in studio settings and give private lessons while having adventures with her husband and four energetic, adorable boys. She is happy to be a part of MDSA, teaching and doing what she loves.
